The 5 Heads of Fear

Understanding the five conditioned patterns that maintain survival mode.

War Phase

Understanding the War

The Cobra of Fear has 5 heads. Each represents a different conditioned pattern:

Anticipation: Predicting negative outcomes before they happen. "What if this goes wrong?"

Avoidance: Steering away from triggering situations. The path of least resistance leads to stagnation.

Attachment: Clinging out of fear of loss. Holding tight prevents growth.

Identity Distortion: Mistaking your armor for yourself. "I'm just an anxious person."

Spiritual Amnesia: Forgetting your inherent worth. "I don't deserve peace."

Realization Phase

The Realization

The realization: you can name the head. When fear arises, you can identify which head is active. This creates separation. You are not the head. You are the one who observes the head.

Naming it reduces its power. The unnamed fear controls you. The named fear can be addressed.

Rebuild Phase

The Rebuild

Taming the Cobra requires daily practice. Use the Cobra Kill Switch:

1. Name the head. Identify which head is active.

2. Breathe. 4 seconds in, 6 seconds out.

3. Ground. State 3 present facts.

4. Act. Take one small aligned step.
